According to reliable sources Fabrizio Romano and David Lynch, Ibrahima Konate is close to agreeing a new long term deal with the club. The Frenchman's current contract ends in the summer, but with Real Madrid’s interest fading it looks like the centre back will continue his stay on Merseyside. #

The 26-year-old centre-back joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021 for £32 million. Since then, he has made 175 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and lifting the Premier League, FA Cup, two League Cups, and the Community Shield.
