Rennes head coach, Habib Bayes, confirmed it by saying the injury as “serious” with further assessments expected to determine the full severity of the injury.
The timing is far from ideal for the Reds just days after sealing the young Frenchman's services for 2026/27 onwards. The 20-year-old is a solid player, who has earned his praise for his composure on the ball, physical presence, and tactical awareness.
Liverpool beat Chelsea to sign France U-21 France CB Jeremy with a whopping £60 million which marked another brilliant signing for the Reds. Arne Slot praised Jacquet as a major talent with huge potential. He also credited the club’s recruitment team for securing such a high-profile signing.
The injury now plays as a major setback for the Rennes too in this crucial phase. Further clarity on the 20 year old’s recovery is expected soon.
