Arne Slot's future as Liverpool manager will be assessed at an end-of-season review, following the Final match of the season against Brentford on Sunday, according to football expert Fabrizio Romano. It follows heavy criticism on the Dutchman as well as Mohammed Salah's bombshell statement after the 4-2 loss to Aston Villa.
Fabrizio Romano revealed not long ago that Arne Slot's position as Liverpool boss would be subject to end of season evaluations. “Obviously in general at Liverpool, don’t forget - and let me finish with this line - the end of season review at Liverpool because there will be one. I told you that several times. It will involve the players, management, and the head coach, Arne Slot. Currently, Liverpool has not reached out to other managers. They have always insisted that they want to continue with Arne Slot. Obviously, this review is still going to be an important moment… still going to be crucial for the future at Liverpool. So we wait for the most important people at the club to decide what they want to do.”

Arne Slot's future continues to be the source of major discussion across Liverpool's fan base, where doubts have been increased by departing Mohammed Salah's comments last weekend.
The Egyptian stated, “I’ve seen Liverpool go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. Being part of that journey and helping bring success back to this club is something I’ll always be proud of.
“This season’s struggles and repeated setbacks have been painful, especially because the fans deserve far better than what we’ve shown…”
It comes at the end of an extremely disappointing season for the Reds, finishing the season at least twenty points behind likely champions Arsenal.

Whilst the internal machinations of the club have been largely kept behind closed doors all season, Salah's comments point to an equally frustrated dressing room.
For the club's part, the board have been steadfast in their support of Arne Slot, and has denied there have been discussions about his future this season - even during the speculation over Xabi Alonso's future.
However, with discontent evident in the stands, and seemingly growing dissent in the dressing room, the future direction of the club will likely be sorted within the next couple of weeks - for better or for worse.
