Still reeling from the difficult result against PSG in Paris, Slot's men turn their attention back towards the Premier League after a tough 7 days in Cup competitions. As Fulham travels from the capital to Merseyside in a vital fixture for The Reds.

With Chelsea firmly on Liverpool’s heels for a spot in the top five, a win against Fulham is key to ensuring that Liverpool doesn’t fall out of Champions League places. Along with mounting pressure on Arne Slot following the defeat against PSG, maintaining Anfield’s status as a fortress is key.

This game also gives a chance for Liverpool to recoup ahead of the second leg of their quarter-final against PSG. In order to build momentum for a comeback at Anfield, a win against Fulham would prevent total collapse in mentality ahead of the all-important Champions League second leg.

Team News

Stefan Bajcetic continues to be injured and is yet to make an appearance so far this season.

Alisson Becker is also not available for this match due to the injury he sustained last month, Arne Slot said on the keeper “He will not be part of the Paris Saint-Germain games as well. He will be out for a bit longer. Towards the end of the season, we expect him to be fit again."

Alexander Isak made a brief cameo against PSG, whilst still nursing his injury- we could see a longer appearance from the Swedish striker.

Connor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni and Waturo Endo are also out for this match.

For Fulham, Calvin Bassey and Kenny Tete both look to potentially be fit in time for the trip to Anfield, though a starting spot for either is unlikely.

Kevin is ruled out for the match.

It has been a while since Liverpool last beat Fulham. The last three fixtures have been two draws between the two sides and a win for Fulham. Fulham’s win came in April of last year, a 3-2 win in the capital. This loss was a difficult one, considering Liverpool went ahead early through Alexis Mac Allister.

The last time the Reds beat Fulham was in April of 2024. It was at Craven Cottage where Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ryan Gravenberch and the late great Diego Jota scored the goals in a 3-1 victory.
