Since the season started to deteriorate, Slot has always been under high scrutiny. A shameful defeat to Brighton on 21st March compiled pressure further. However, Liverpool is not letting the Dutchman go before the summer, as the UCL is very much alive. It appears as the club's stance is making quick managerial changes will do more harm to the team.
Taking charge after Jurgen Klopp is not that easy. However, in Slot’s first season, he managed to win games and the Premier League in 2024/2025. The Klopp lineup is almost gone, with fresh talent like Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Rio Ngumoha and others shaping up the game. Apart from that, several injuries, absence and key players underperforming, it becomes troublesome at a point. Slot has found it difficult to manage it altogether after a post-championship hangover and adapting to the new manager’s philosophy under him.
