The Match
Following consecutive defeats against Arsenal and Fenerbahçe, Andoni Iraola's men arrived in London under pressure to deliver a response. And while the performance was not entirely convincing, the result was exactly what Liverpool needed heading into the November international break.
Goals from Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak secured all three points for the visitors, while Eddie Nketiah's late penalty proved little more than a consolation for the hosts.
It was a victory built on important individual contributions, timely interventions and a much-needed improvement in Liverpool's attacking efficiency.
However, the scoreline does not tell the entire story.
Crystal Palace started the fixture with considerable attacking intent, taking advantage of Liverpool's occasional defensive uncertainty.
The hosts looked particularly dangerous down the left, where Tyrick Mitchell and Yéremy Pino combined effectively to stretch Liverpool's defensive structure.
The biggest warning came in the 18th minute when Pino connected beautifully with Mitchell's delivery, unleashing a powerful effort that beat Alisson Becker but crashed against the crossbar.
Liverpool were fortunate.

Daichi Kamada also threatened with a well-struck volley, only for Alisson to produce an outstanding fingertip save.
The Brazilian goalkeeper was once again demonstrating why his presence between Liverpool's posts remains so important.
Palace were creating opportunities, but Liverpool were beginning to show greater composure in possession and looked increasingly dangerous from set-pieces.
0-1
Just when Palace appeared to be growing into the contest, Liverpool found their breakthrough.
In the 40th minute, Dominik Szoboszlai delivered a dangerous free-kick into the penalty area, and Alexis Mac Allister timed his movement perfectly to direct an explosive header beyond Dean Henderson.
It was an important goal, particularly considering the pressure Liverpool has been under during the opening stages.
Mac Allister's contribution was more than just about putting Liverpool ahead. His movement, awareness and ability to arrive in dangerous positions provided another dimension to Liverpool's attacking approach.
The Reds went into half-time with a 1-0 advantage, despite Palace having enjoyed some promising spells.
0-2.
Florian Wirtz delivers the second blow.
If Liverpool's first goal provided relief, their second provided breathing space.
Just nine minutes into the second half, Bradley Barcola accelerated down the right flank before delivering an excellent ball into the penalty area.
Florian Wirtz was perfectly positioned to meet the delivery, calmly guiding his finish into the far corner in the 54th minute.
It was an important moment for the German international, who had been searching for his first Premier League goal of the season.
His finish demonstrated the technical quality and composure that Liverpool supporters have been waiting to see consistently.
More importantly, it gave Liverpool a two-goal cushion and forced Crystal Palace to take greater risks in their attempt to get back into the game.
Despite Liverpool's advantage, Palace refused to disappear from the contest.
The hosts continued searching for opportunities, with Yeremy Pino and Eddie Nketiah among those threatening Liverpool's defensive organisation.
Alisson, however, was determined to ensure that the advantage remained intact.
One particularly important sequence saw him deny Pino before recovering quickly to stop Quinten Timber's follow-up attempt.
Those interventions were crucial.
0-3
Liverpool's attacking players were doing their job at the opposite end, but without Alisson's contribution, the final stages could have been considerably more uncomfortable.
Then comes a rapid counter-attacking move, Wirtz found Isak, whose effort took a deflection before beating Henderson.
It was a valuable goal for the Swedish striker, who has been looking to establish greater consistency in front of goal.
The strike also highlighted Liverpool's ability to punish opponents when spaces become available during transitions.
Isak's goal made it 3-0 and effectively ended Palace's hopes of rescuing anything from the encounter.
1-3
There was still time for a consolation, however.
In the fifth minute of stoppage time, Milos Kerkez was penalised for a foul due to a clash of heads on substitute Dario Osorio inside the penalty area.
Eddie Nketiah stepped forward and confidently converted from the spot to make it 3-1, bringing our prediction alive.
It was too little, too late for the hosts.
The final whistle confirmed an important away victory for Liverpool.
Palace actually enjoyed more possession, but Liverpool were marginally more productive in front of goal.
The figures also highlight that Liverpool's defensive performance was not flawless. Palace created enough opportunities to make the match considerably closer.
The difference was Liverpool's ability to convert their opportunities and Alisson's contribution when the defence was breached.
Standout Players.
Alisson Becker: The difference-maker
Although Liverpool scored three goals, Alisson deserves enormous credit. His saves during Palace's strongest attacking periods prevented the hosts from taking control of the encounter.
Alexis Mac Allister: The breakthrough
His intelligent movement and decisive header provided Liverpool with the breakthrough they desperately needed.
Florian Wirtz: A statement performance
The German's goal was important, but his involvement in Liverpool's attacking transitions was equally encouraging. His combination with Barcola demonstrated the attacking potential within this Liverpool side.
Alexander Isak: A timely contribution
Scoring in the 89th minute was an important confidence boost for the striker. Liverpool need his goals, and this could be a valuable moment in his campaign.
Winning at Selhurst Park provides a much-needed response and gives Iraola's side something positive to take into the international break.
You'll Never Walk Alone.
