Liverpool’s U19 were knocked out of the UEFA Youth League as MSK Zilina secured a 2-1 win against the Reds. The young players of Liverpool managed to score early, but struggled to sustain the momentum in the second half.
The Reds took an early lead through Kieran Morrison and were rewarded in the first 5 minutes of the game. Zilina’s response came before the first 45 minutes, with Fabian Bzydl scoring at 36 minutes, assisted by Marko Vaclavek.

In the second half, while the Liverpool fans were hoping for a comeback and regaining control.
Zilina showed impeccable control and scored another goal with Frantisek Kosa. The second half was painfully frustrating for Liverpool to find an equalizer anchor. Despite the pressure and midfield control, the Reds were unable to penetrate Zilina's defense. This put Zilina ahead into the game and shifted the momentum firmly in their favour.

"Young Reds started well with Morrison firing them ahead but they didn't kick on. Too many careless errors invites pressure." said James Pearce on X.
The victory sends MSK Zilina into the UEFA Youth League Round of 16. And, with this match Liverpool FC U19's ended their aspirational dream of following the first team's history of European success.
