As fans wait with bated breath for a positive outcome in the chase for Bradley Barcola, the Reds' transfer machine has moved on to its next target, and a solution to the squad's perceived weakness on the right flank.

Having cooled interest in Yankuba Minteh, following Brighton’s £80 million valuation of the Gambian winger, attention has moved on to Crystal Palace's Senegalese forward, Ismaïla Sarr.
The winger, part of the Palace side that beat Liverpool 2-0 in the Community Shield last season, has been a revelation since arriving in London in the summer of 2024 from French side Marseille, scoring 33 times in 92 games, with five of those coming against Liverpool.
The Reds may face competition from rivals Manchester United for his signature, as United have long been admirers of the Senegalese man.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace will be keen to hold on to their Star Man, especially as the future of forward Jean-Philippe Mateta (linked with a move to Aston Villa) looks set to leave this summer, having already stated that this current season was ‘void’ at the club due to disagreements over contracts.
Having already twice rejected offers from Galatasaray for Sarr, and seemingly rejected Liverpool’s opening £50 million bid, it seems that the South London club are in no rush to let their man go.
So, with less than five days to go until the end of the Premier League transfer window, the Reds will need to act fast to amend what is likely to be one of the more problematic starting positions this season - especially as Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliot seem likely to leave before the window shuts.
