PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye, who has been heavily linked with Liverpool this summer, looks set to join Aston Villa after the two clubs agreed on a fee.

Liverpool look set to miss out on another target on the wing with the news that Aston Villa have agreed a fee of £47 million with PSG for Ibrahim Mbaye.
The winger, who turned 18 in January, has already become an established member of the PSG squad and scored against France for Senegal at the World Cup this summer.
After losing Mo Salah, Liverpool have been linked with right wingers all summer. Rio Ngumoha started there against Newcastle but looked uncomfortable and was replaced by Victor Munoz in the 63rd minute.
Munoz looked brighter but is still naturally a left winger. After yet another target found a solution to their future that did not see them arrive at Anfield, where do Liverpool go from here?
Liverpool’s Right-Winger Problem
Liverpool have finally found their marquee signing on the wing. Bradley Barcola looks set to join for around £120 million after the Reds finally agreed a fee with PSG. Still, fans rightfully are clamouring for the club to sign someone on the right.
The club have tried, showing their interest in Mbaye without making an official bid and seeing two bids rejected for Yankuba Minteh. Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr was also the subject of a rejected £50 million bid.
So, with time and options rapidly running out, where could Liverpool go from here? After his encouraging performance against Newcastle, expect Muniz to get the nod this weekend.
However, if the void cannot be filled, Liverpool fans can once again expect to see Dominic Szoboszlai moved out of the middle to fill in on the flanks.
This would be a complete failure for Liverpool’s squad-building plan; however, it could be their best option and time, money, and options are rapidly running out.
